Privacy Policy

Beaten (“we”, “us”) is a website run by Luke Whelan for logging the video games you finish. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and a unique account ID. We use these only to sign you in and show you which account you're using.
- Your game log. The games you add, with their status, dates, platforms, hours, ratings and notes.
- Age confirmation. A record that you confirmed you're 13 or older, and when.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting and database providers automatically process things like IP addresses and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent your information.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your log saved and private to your account.
- To run game search. When you type a game name, that text is sent to IGDB to find matches. It isn't linked to your account.
- To keep the site working and secure.
Who processes it for us
- Google Firebase stores your account and game log.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and runs game search.
- IGDB (Twitch/Amazon) receives game-search text and provides game details and cover art.
These providers handle data under their own privacy policies and security practices. Your data may be stored on servers in the United States.
Your choices
- Download your data: use “Download my log” in the account menu.
- Delete your account: use “Delete account” in the account menu. This permanently removes your account and your entire log. Backups held by our providers are cleared on their normal schedule.

Children
Beaten is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email beatenluke@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
